Echos of Egypt in WA:
All About AESWA

Founded in 1996, the Ancient Egypt Society of Western Australia is a non-profit educational organisation, managed by a team of friendly, enthusiastic, and dedicated volunteers. The society is funded solely through membership fees, fundraising events, and member contributions.

Our Members

AESWA brings people together from all walks of life, from curious newcomers and lifelong aficionados to professional Egyptologists who have dedicated their career to studying this remarkable history.

Among our members are â€‹â€‹practising and retired Egyptologists, educators, authors, scientists, engineers, and passionate learners. Some travel to Egypt regularly, while other hope to visit one day. Some members write academic papers and historical fiction, capture striking photographs, create art and crafts, and even experiment with Egyptian cookery.

Our membership is open to anyone with an interest in any aspect of ancient Egypt. We offer space to learn, create, and explore this incredible legacy - together.
